LIA Song

To the LIA FAMILY,
Some 108 years ago, Dr. Jose Rizal said,"The youth is the hope of the
fatherland."This is a beautiful and inspiring message that came from
someone who valued his country more than his life. But what if Dr. Rizal is
alive today? He must be shaking his head in desperation and frustration.
His heart must be bleeding with anguish and pain to see some of the youth
wasting their God-given time in vain that instead of engaging themselves
with meaningful and productive activities, they join pot sessions, riots,
fraternities, drinking spree and even syndicates and prostitutions. How
horrifying these are and maybe we could be one of them if there is no LIA
who gave us hope and chance to realize our dreams of obtaining a college
degree and become some of the many successful Libsongnians. We owe a lot
from you LIA for without you, instead of holding books and pen, maybe our
hands now are holding alcoholic drinks, or gambling cards, deadly weapons
, prohibited drugs or could have married earlier with a baby in our hands.
Or probably we are now in a corner behind the cold bars crying and asking
ourselves, "What have we done? Is there still hope for us?"
On behalf of our families, we convey our sincerest hanks to all LIA FAMILY-
an organization composed of civic-minded genuine, indefatigable and
concerned Libsongnians whose primary concern is to help their
kababayan.Thank you very much for your benevolence and magnanimous support
for you let us dream, believe and survive the onslaught of life as we
continue threading the path of dreams and soar to an even greater heights
of life. Than you for you serve as the wind beneath our wings. To you great
people, we appeal to you to please continue to maintain and support the
LIA's objectives for the betterment of the people in our beloved
community-LIBSONG. The great poet Sir Henry Wadsworth Longfellow says:"In
the world's broad field of battle, In the bivouac of life, Be not like a
dump driven cattle, Be a hero in strife!"
GOD BLESS LIA AND MABUHAY KAYO!
